Unbeaten Plum Ali (First Samurai) looks to keep her perfect record in tact Sunday in Belmont's GII Miss Grillo S. A debut winner going two turns at Saratoga July 23, the chestnut captured the Mint Juvenile Fillies S. Sept. 7, making her the only black-type winner in the field.

Brad Cox saddles a promising runner in Caldee (More Than Ready). Off the board when unveiled in a main track sprint at the Spa July 19, the bay romped by 6 3/4 lengths next out when switched to the turf and extended to two turns upstate Aug. 23.

Godolphin homebred Lovestruck (Tapit) also tries stakes company for the first time here. The gray rallied to victory in her career bow going 1 1/16 miles at Saratoga Sept. 7.

Graham Motion turns a debut winner back on short rest here in Batyah (Pioneerof the Nile). The dark bay came from well back off the pace to score going a mile at Belmont Sept. 19.

Chad Brown–who has won the last four renewals of this event and seven of the last eight–will be represented by a pair of runners in Editor at Large (Ire) (Lope de Vegas {Ire}) and Freedomofthepress (Mshawish). Editor At Large won her two-turn career bow at Saratoga Sept. 7 and Freedomofthepress checked in second to Lovestruck in her lone start on the same day.
